Jamal - The grand slam in total was about 1,850 km? But if you're doing it all in one go, I think it would be longer as there's some backtracking needed a few times to get back to a bus station to go to another region.

I didn't use gpx files myself except for one or two trails as Kakao Maps is pretty nice for bike navigation here. I always ran into issues if I used gpx files in a garmin head unit for navigation, unlike in other countries. The videos at the youtube channel below show how to convert kakao maps (where most maps for the grand slam will be, including linked ones in this video) to gpx files if desired.

Thanks for the reply. I'd look at doing it all in one go and yeah just from looking at the map I can see I'd need to back track , all good!

I'll arrive in Busan and get the passport. Its safe to say that as long as you get all the stamps in any order, it will still be certified? e.g if I do Ara west in reverse.

Oh yes, the order doesn't matter at all. I'd just try to finish at the Ara station if you're only in Korea for the bike trip so you can get the medals right away. They don't certify your passport book at most stamp areas, I'd say the only safe ones to finish at are Ara or Busan. I live here so I was able to get the medals by mail since it I finished my passport at a random unmanned station, but you can almost always get the medals and certificates in person at Ara or Busan during open hours.
